I just got the Harvey smaller model and in the process of assembling it. The cast iron extension wings look fine but the LHS wind has a bit of a high spot in the center so I wonder what the surface flatness of these is supposed to be? Any ideas?

i like your router table idea. I bought the phenolic extension wing which doesn't come with the smaller Harvey as standard ( it does with the bigger model) but it looks like you made a wooden wing?

I dont know much about routing but did you use those Harvey rails to avoid buying/making a router table or was it to use that very nice Harvey fence?

Can you tell me the width including the fence guide rails as if I get one it will be stored against a wall in the garage and brought out as required.

    Yeah it's made from wood.

Did this for both reasons you said above. To save having a dedicated router table and to use the fence

Quick update as I saw this is almost 7 years on.

Saw still going strong and still happy with it.
