The Mange.
I see the topic of the virus is shut down.
That is a pity seeing it is the biggest deal going on in the universe for human beings right now and the outcome is hard to imagine.

That thread was always going to be controversial as it it evoked deep seated emotion and at times prejudice. several time it came perilously close to being shut down during it's life. Somehow, either the participants or at least once a moderator warned of a discussion getting out of hand, but were able to bring the subject back on track.
I was a little surprised it was shut down at the time it was as it did not seem that fractious to me. Perhaps the moderators saw some storm clouds building or perhaps there was something else that occurred, was deleted and that became the final straw.
I have to say it was the best source of general information as so many participants were conducting their own research. It brought a huge range of opinion and information to the table.

May have been me. I get a bit crazed sometimes.
Imagine our kids in their dotage describing 2020 to the great grandkids.... "Well kiddos. 2020 was interesting. Drought, atomic bushfires, floods, hail storms, plague.... then in March....."

It wasn’t you Woodpixel - it was the virus. Man, that virus is worse than I thought - it closed down a thread

No.
Yes
Given that is was shut without explanation (and there usually is at least a brief one), I can only assume it was the inflammatory posts near the end from a particular team, but if that was the case why not delete the posts and tell them to butt out of the thread?

I was reading that thread every morning and then digesting it all day, I didn't comment because I don't think I had anything relevant to contribute. I wasn't ticking likes or thanks even though I was learning heaps from it.
Now that it's ended thanks to all of you who put a lot of time and effort into your research.
Cheers,
Geoff.
