Bostik GlideCote
Bostik GlideCote is a woodwork specific product designed for use on table saws, router bases etc, etc. Surface & Tool Market Products - Bostik Woodworking Lubricants for Product Assembly It comes in an aerosol can so is easy to apply and different to the Silverglide product, which I have used with good success. GlideCote used to be called TopCote by Bostik.
Only problem is that Bostik doesn't stock GlideCote in Australia and for shipment out of the US the aerosol pack is regarded as a hazardous material so none of the usual on-line stores (Amazon, Woodcraft etc) who stock GFlideCote will ship outside of the US.
I'm keen to get my hands on this stuff and try it - (George Vondriska at WWGOA is a big wrap for GlideCote). I've asked Bostik in Melbourne to do a shipment - I'm still waiting for a response but don't feel confident about a positive outcome. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get GlideCote shipped to Melbourne or maybe know of someone in Australia who might even stock it??

Why not use "Silverglide"? It is readily available and does a fantastic job.

Not sure how much trust I would put into WWGOA. They have been criticized a lot for being a marketing front for woodworking products and Indeed if you follow their youtube vids they are generally promoting one product or another. Having said that the product may be excellent but as said why not try silverglide first and see if it suits your needs.

Thanks for the comments & Lplates. As I said in my note I use SilverGlide and it does a good job. I find it leaves a small amount of a residual build-up on the treated surfaces so was hopeful that GlideCote may avoid this. I've made a small amount of progress in supply. Bostik in New Zealand has a shipment currently enroute from the US and they say that they will be able to ship me a 12 pack box of GlideCote.
As far as WWGOA is concerned .... George is no different to Fine Woodworking or any other magazines which carry promos for products. They are all commercial operations and need advertising to exist so you need to take this fact on board and then assess whether the product is good, bad or indifferent. I'm happy with what I see and want to give it a try... but still don't understand why Bostik don't carry this specialist woodworkers product in Australia.

Is this the same as Shelleys Ezy Glide Dry Lubricant or WD-40 Anti Friction Dry PTFE Lubricant ? Both these are available from Bunnings for less than $15 for a 150g can.
I have a few projects and am hoping I can use either for the table tops.

A candle does the same thing
For 60 years, all my old man and I have used is a wax candle. Just rub it randomly over the tables, and it provides all the friction reduction we’ve ever needed. An average 10” submarine candle lasts about a year, give or take, and costs next to nothing. Use it on router bases and lots of jigs and stuff too.

I don't know about the Shelleys but I have tried the WD-40 Dry PTFE - it's crap. It appears since I last posted this (in 2013!), Bunnings doesn't sell the CRC Dry Glide anymore but there are plenty of places that still do. The WD-40 branded stuff still leaves a wet sticky residue.

Bob, I got some bladecote, used for lubricating table saw and bandsaw blades also made by Bostik on ebay but as others have said there other suitable alternatives for table tops in Aus. I use Boschield T9 and paste wax for all my cast iron surfaces. Silverglide is also an adequate alternative

Thanks everyone and thanks for your suggestions. I've tried the Silverglide and find it a bit thick and gluggy after it has sat on the surface for a time. Boeshield T9 is good (the Boeshield Blade and Bit cleaner is also excellent) but I mostly use the T9on tools as a rust preventative. The best success that I've had with a lubricant is the CRC Dry Glide which I buy from my local Autobarn store. Not cheap but it does work wonders to lube the table saw and jointer.
