HISTORY
just over 60 years ago a large 'syncrete brick (Besser blocks (?)) multi purpose building erected right on coastline.

Salt damp has been in blocks several years but typical committee inaction due to $$ and man hours involved nothing has been done. I have become project manager with limited budget to bring building back to acceptable state.

Now Ive read and watched enough on DIY salt damp treatment, mainly adding a waterproof membrane OK

my main question arises in water damage continues to the bricks/blocks below the membrane..do they continue to deteriorate and then eventually fail...therefore in long long term making the whole treatment a waste of time & effort?

any other info would be appreciated. We are 700K away from inspection specialists
