Re-finishing Blue Gum Dining Table
I built a dining table out of Sydney Blue Gum (from reclaimed railway sleepers) a few years ago. It was finished with a series of applications of Linseed Oil with decreasing amounts of Gum Turps - then buffed with a wax.
It has been in storage for the past 3 months where a water pipe burst - saturating the table (and everything else). Unfortunately the table requires reworking due to some warping of the timber.
As I wasn't particularly happy with the original finish this is a good opportunity to get it right. Is there any products available, or a good home-brew that is a mix between oil and polyurethane? I would ideally like a wet-look finish.
Thanks for any suggestions

Wet look finish
You may want to try Minwax Wipe on Poly!
