Compressed air warning.
This is an old yarn reposted in this forum.
Last night at about 3:30 am I woke up to hear the side gate rattling, so I
snuck around to find the shop dog Sally busy digging her way out of the yard (she's on heat).
At about 7:30 am I inspected the damage and found a 15" hole in the path and 3 palings off the fence - she'd nearly got away. So, out with the screws, drills etc and I dragged the compressed air hose all the way around the back, about 120' of hose. I drilled lots of new holes, screwed in lots of screws brrrrppp, brrrrpp, whirrr (I luv air tools!) and started to pack up.
Well, here's a lesson learned I am passing on to you.
While I was packing up, shop dog was lying nearby and (unbeknownst to me) SWMBO was four feet away inside the ensuite applying makeup. It seems that at the precise moment she was doing the lipstick, I accidentally cracked off the air hose - 120 feet of 1/2" hose at 125psi. Result? I think I've lost the dog (who can now jump a 2 metre fence and crap in mid-air) and SWMBO has a very nasty red scar from lip to ear. She was blowing steam from her ears and looked like the "Joker" from Batman when she was telling me off, I shouldn't have laughed, really - I think I may have just blown Christmas.

G'Day Groggy,
I had a similar thing happen, I'm still chuckling over yours, anyway I was using the compressor and nail gun, after the job was done for the day (a renovation project amost complete) I packed up and put things in the workshop. Later after dinner I was in the workshop messing around with some miniture stuff I do for my son, nice and quiet, radio on softly in the background. PPHHSSSST!...   the drain bleed valve let go....again! I had opened it as I started to pack up and assumed the tank was empty, not checking the gauge, put it away, right behind where I was sitting. It must have had a bit of debris stuck in the bleed valve and let go after about an hour or so. Well all I can say is it was a race between me and the two dogs to see who could get to the ceiling first, the dogs won, I on the other hand was weighted down by two kgs of crop in my briefs! ....At least I had a soft landing! Ha!Ha!...Eeww!!..

Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

Eric? Do you spend a lot of time putting your makeup on or do you just make a special effort for the Mardi Gras?
