wrong area to post. There's another thread in the forum info section, here, that you should post in.

Change your ad blocker. I'm getting a banner on each forum ( Carrols Woodcraft) for the woodturning, then nothing, no banners, nothing in the right hand columns.

turn off your ad-blocker. Stops essential revenue for the forum supporting it running.

sorry, should have been specific; my reply was directed to the other person who replied (pommyphil) not you.

I am not bothered by the ads at the top and on the right side. Several days ago there were ads between posts in a thread, which I think is too much. That was the first time I had seen that, and today looking at several posts did not see them.
So much timber, so little time.

I started a thread re these adverts in the middle of posts. Like you said, it’s starting to get very annoying and it’s also starting to slow down the forum (that’s what is happening to me in the last couple of days). No other forum I belong to has this problem. I have deleted cookies and search history, logged out then logged back in, done a hard reset on the iPad and they are still here!

Yeah , still seeing the adds too !
The adds are nothing to do with the sponsors on this forum......
They are for tyres, watches , sailing instruments ...etc .
Hope that the admin or moderators will fix this problem soon !Cheers smiife

I don’t believe these new “In post” ads are targeted at your browsing history. The most common one I get is for shares investments from a company called IC Markets. I have never searched for info on shares or trading companies.
Another is for a company/product called Bellroy whose advert consisted of a wallet a passport and a pen - again no searching by me on any of these items.
In fact the only relevant banner advert associated with my browsing, that appears in the normal place at the top, is for a CNC machine.
Besides these facts, banner adverts at the top and sides are fine; They have always been there and do not interfere with my enjoyment of this forum and they help pay for the forum BUT when giant adverts appear in the middle of a post I am reading or makes relying to a post almost impossible because the typing slows down to a crawl as the banner advert sits right on top of the reply button, it does interfere with my enjoyment of this site.
