the common comment here is that ad blockers just jeopardise the cost-offset that the ads help the WWF team to help run the forum, so turn em off.

Sorry Neil to put a dampener on your explanation but this screenshot shows I am logged in and I’m still getting the giant advert banners in the middle of the posts as can be seen in the second screen shot taken minutes later.

actually that just shows the top-banner, expected ad, not the in-stream ads that we're concerned with here

Could I suggest that if your going to post 2 nor more consecrative photos you include a space between them, saves a lot of confusion

Seems Google Ads are pushing the envelope, which does not surprise me given the current ACCC action against Google.
This is exactly what I experienced. I'm currently logged in and always access threads from the "new posts" icon, which by the way does not update or show for "members not logged in."
Rather ironic this screenshot,

What I am often getting is ads (only at the top) for 25% off fares on Puffing Billy. Google has not worked out that I am actually a member and can get member discounts!
For everybody else though, November would be a good time to travel.
I am only getting ads at the top of the page. Some are relevant, some are not.

I'm not getting any 'in post' adds now at 10:00am on 10-11-2019.
Stay sharp and stay safe!

They seemed to have stopped for me also.
Still getting ads at the top which are completely irrelevant to any searches that I might have done but am prepared to tolerate and ignore them to enable the Forum to continue for our benefit.Tom

Sorry for the delayed response been a bit out of tough for the last few days.
Trying to find out what's going on. Those ads are not supposed to show for anyone who's logged in.
Will most likely be a glitch from latest upgrade. Hopefully be fixed by Monday night..... Hopefully.
By the way I'm not seeing any of the ads other than top and side no matter how I login so not easy to see the problem or where it's coming from.

Just had a good look at the settings/permissions for the ad "after second post". Below is a list of the only ones who should be seeing those ads.
All others should only see top and side banners only. Apart from those who don't seem to be inclined to support the forum advertisers by using ad blockers or tapatalk.
- (COPPA) Users Awaiting Moderation
- Imported Banned Users
- Unregistered / Not logged in
- Users Awaiting Email Confirmation
Please let me know if "after second post" ads are still showing for anyone when logged in, if they are I will pass the problem on to Steven for some more in-depth detective work.
