Help identifying this Kitchen Tool
Hi all,
My mother has moved out of her home due to old age and dementia. While packing up her kitchen items we came across this utensil but none of the family knows what it's purpose is.
Mum does not remember.
It's similar in action to a Garlic Press but the square plate pushes through the larger square outer section.
Any help would be appreciated.

I think it IS a garlic press, but with a removable bottom section to assist with cleaning. And the removable bit has gone walkabout.
Nothing succeeds like a budgie without a beak.

It's definitely a garlic press. I have one just like it.

Thanks all...I will have to have a look around her kitchen for the other piece. The one we have at our home has the perforation portion non removable at it is 1 piece.

I finally found the other part and now have a garlic press that is easier to clean than our other 1 piece unit
Cheers all
