What is this finish
We bought a table from Provincial with a pine top and a finish which seems quite unique ( see pics). Unfortunately with three kids around, we did not think to protect the wood, had a grease stain, tried to remove it and now the finishing has come off ( circled in the pic). Does anybody know what type of finish this is and where I can buy some so that I can re apply onto the wood surface of the table?
Thanks for your help

It may help if you tell us what you used to attempt removing the stain, and how.
Kind regards,
Lance

Thanks for the reply Lance. I used a baby wipe and hard scrubbing. Rather naive of me. The light colour is basically the natural wood colour that has come up as what finish was on the wood has been removed from the scrubbing. The other two photos are close- ups to show what kind of finish is on the table, just as how we bought it. It could be a clay coloured wax or paint chalk perhaps.

It's a stab in the dark based on the photos; but it is most likely a wax finish. You might be able to use some coloured paste furniture wax like our forum's host's product (U-Beaut Polishes - TRADITIONAL WAX Polish) in the Baltic colour. I think that will get you close.
Start by applying to a non-visible area before starting on the top to be sure!
