Default Enable "mentions" with the @UserName syntax

    Hi all,

It would make it so much simpler replying to people if the forums supported the @UserName mentioning syntax, such that if someone typed my user name as @LanceC in a post, I would be notified that I was mentioned.

That way instead of having to quote people to ensure they see my response, a simple "mention" would alert them.

I believe most forum software supports this feature either natively or via a plugin.

    Kind regards,
    Lance

You're right this is a great idea. I'll need to see if there is a plugin for vbulletin, it's common on other software so I'm expecting one exists.
