Double posting
Has anyone else had the problem of the site trying to double post?
A number of times, when I post or reply, and hit “submit new thread” I get a message that I have to wait 30 seconds between posts and no I don’t have the shakes

Yes - I have seen this.
Sometimes When I hit "post quick reply" or "Save" and then immediately switch to another tab i the browser I get a message - do you want to leave or stay on this page.
Sometimes when I hit "leave" I lose the entire post and sometimes when I hit "stay" I find I have to wait a long time for the post to save so I hit "Save" again and get a double post.
Seems worse at busy times.

I now copy the message to the clipboard, it saves me hurling the laptop through the nearest window if stress overcomes self restraint.

Intermittent double posting is being investigated by our 'puter guru.
Re laptop through window. I had a student throw a textbook through a closed window.

Thank you for letting me know that it's not just my problem. I was surprised to see I'd somehow double posted yesterday as well as having lost the post twice when I tried to upload it.
Whenever I make a longish post I do copy and paste it into Textedit so it can be reentered if it does vanish.

I was reading a book after an exam and before we were allowed to leave, the teacher took exception to this and tossed it out of the third floor window but wasn't pleased when I told him it was from the school library.
My comment above was meant to be a bit light hearted and in no way critical of the efforts to fix the problem but I do copy the message before pressing submit.CHRIS
