    Default Linking to an attachment?

Let's say I've already attached an image to a post on this BBS, some time ago. eg:

    http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...chmentid=11391

Let's also say I'm now replying to something in a completely different thread and want to refer to this attachment. Sure, I can reupload the img in the new post via the normal way of things... but why upload the same img twice?

Surely there's a way I can simply add a link and have it appear as it would if 'twas attached? I've tried the {url}...**/url} or {img}...**/img} methods but they only post a html link. Come to that, I don't even need to add those codes; the BBS SW seems to be smart enough to auto-convert http addresses into a link.

I'm not asking the impossible am I?

    ROFLMAO!!

I used curlies "**}" in place of squares "[]" to avoid execution... and the "left curly" got censored!! ??
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

I think I read somewhere that if you open the original then highlight the address you can copy and paste into your new post.

That's how I placed the link in the original posting. As you can see, it's showing the HTTP link but doesn't show as a thumbnail. Oh, well... it looks like I persevere with things as they are. [shrug]
