Bill was a workaholic and when he passed away his family had a nice headstone placed on his grave. Unfortunately the ground hadn't settled when the headstone was placed and gradually it started leaning to one side. A cemetery groundsman pulled it back straight and as a temporary measure tied a length of wire from it to a nearby tree.
A couple of Bill's mates dropped by on their way home from the pub and one said to the other "he won't give up, now he's got the phone on!"
