Default 5 star rating timber flooring

Can anybody give me any feedback. With the 5 star rating can you lay floorboards straight on to floor joists or do you have to have yellowtongue and groove flooring down and then lay the floorboards on to the yellowtongue???

    Thanks Craig

Craig, it doesn't affect the rating either way.

The floor input for 5 star is - slab on ground, timber floor enclosed (as in a brick veneer), timber floor open (as in a weatherboard home) plus a few options upper storey etc. & whether its carpeted, tiled polished etc.

Tmber floored homes in Victoria have a concession until June 2006 where they are only required to achieve 4 star.

If you need more details contact me.

One of the best tools I've used in years is a little thing called the search engine!
