Water marks on Kwila...
Hi All - Ive come across a situation with Kwila showing up water marks on table tops ... glass and cup rings etc What's best practise to avoid this problem?
Cabots Aqudeck water base oil stain has been used.

Try oil based stains. I think merbau is a oily timber and oil based would do better I think.

Was the Kwila allowed to weather before finishing? If not, the tannin left in the timber may be leaching whenever something wet comes into contact with the wood.
