Once last call out for those interested in a forum get together. The possible date that I suggested earlier is Saturday 10th March, to meet (say) at about 11:00 am for a later lunch barbie and chat. No other alternatives have been suggested, but are still welcomed.
It is now time to put up your hand and say that you will come along.
I am happy to host this at my home and workshop in Rossmoyne, which is central for most. My feeling is that most woodies want to chat around tools and not just lean up against a bar counter, or talk in a noisy restaurant. My thoughts were that members are welcome to bring along a few tools or something they want to show-and-tell. Perhaps a swap meet? I know that Timbecon are happy to provide a door prize. I have a workshop full of great equipment and a lot of interesting handtools that may interest others, and I am happy to let you play.
So, can you make it, or do we just scrub the idea?
Who wants in?
Regards from Perth

After having read the whole thread now I’ll say I’m keen on both some meet and greet + some tool talk. Thanks for offering your shop as a venue Derek, having visited myself I know there’s lots to see!
If you’re still keen for a BBQ and have one we can use I’m happy to provide the food. Will try and bring down any tools I think people might want to see, I have a feeling you’ve probably got a lot of my collection already though haha

Dane, we will not accept anything less that a yes.
Bueller, I have a gas barbie, plenty of gas, and suggest that we make it a BYO (meat and drinks). I am happy to supply salads. Open to ideas and suggestions from all.

But I feel I know the answer already !
But come on guys free BBQ, and an afternoon noon, of people who actually care about listening to you talking about that 12,0000 grit stone you only paid $450 for.
We're else can you get that attention.apart from here.

Let me put in a nudge for any newbies at whatever WW level you are at.
Please don't be put of by all of Derek's fabulous photos, Buellers growing restored machinery collection, or my incessant talk about (bull) dust for that matter.
I'll promise only to talk about dust if someone asks me a question
We're all a fairly harmless bunch really, so come on down.

I am hoping that Tom and Willy will join us. Can we hear from you?
Tom, I hope you will bring along a few of your jigs. I am interested to see them. In fact, it would be great if others brought along a few of the ones they are proud of as well.
Cheers
