Forum Get Together Albury / Wodonga Area

I have been meaning to suggest a forum get together for Albury / Wodonga but it seems that something always seems to come up. I read a post from aldav and thought that I might just start by posting the question and see what happens. I can be sort of free in during the day and might be free over the weekend but that is less chance of that.

I am thinking that it might be best to meet up for lunch at the Commercial Club or coffee at one of the shopping centers. I don't know how lunch would be at the commercial club I have only gone a few times to their dinner buffet and find it reasonable. I don't know about their lunch service.

So I ask the question who would like to meet up somewhere around the Albury/Wodonga area?

I am heading through there after the Dooen get together ~Tue(?).

Well I'd certainly be interested Christos. I have commitments on two week days, Tuesday and Thursday, but other than that I can usually make time available. Hopefully we'll get a response from some of the other local members.

I have been thinking that it would be good to meet up with Dai Sensei(Neil) and that means this coming Tuesday. Might only be the two of us if aldav has other commitments. I have met Neil before at one of Fencefurniture get together but alas only a short time.

Neil; What is your timing like? What are you travelling in?

How about I suggest meeting at a coffee shop outside the Albury train station called Cycle Station. Parking is reasonable and at the far end of carpark there are provisions for parking a caravan.

Left the Dooen event early so looks like I’ll be in Albury tonight. I have my big rig (Ute/slideon camper/trailer) and planned to stay at Showgrounds camp. I also have my dog with me.

I sleep in so happy to meet up for coffee or lunch what ever suits. Meetup location sounds fine Christos give me a ring on mobile. Will only be in Albury for meetup as only passing through

Well after discussing with Sensei it was agreed to meet at the Cycle Station coffee shop which is located very close to the Albury train station. The time set will be at 10am and so if you are in the area please feel free to drop by for a chat. I will be wearing a wood work forum cap for those that do not know me. Which I think in this area is most members.

There was a short catch up with Dai Sensei, Aldav and I at the coffee shop out the front of the Albury train station. Our discussion was varied and most enjoyable.

I will keep this thread open for those that might be passing by Albury and would like to have a short break or if there is interest from more local members to catch up.
