2.2kw Spindle and VFD
I purchased a Spindle and VFD from Ebay and neither worked
The seller was more than difficult to work with and I ended up with a partial refund for the VFD after Paypal stepped in
A couple of lessons learnt
- Ebay claims can only be made within 30 days of purchase
- Paypal claims go for 180 days
- If you purchase 2 items on the same transaction and you settle one of them you cannot reopen the case to fix the second one
Because it took me months to get the VFD issue sorted out and then purchase another VFD I could not test the spindle,
When I finally tried the spindle the new VFD went out on overload, I tried a second VFD and it did the same thing
Seller will not respond to my emails or ebays email
The same seller appears to have 4 stores on EBAy, all the fine print is the same for all 4 stores
The store I had trouble with is AMAZINGITEM, beware *&^@!)%#

Thank you for that, I didn't know about the ability to settle one item on a multi item purchase, but not be allowed to re-open again for other item(s) that may be faulty.

Thanks for the heads up.
His eBay advert. says he’s based in Sydney PLUS it states there’s a two year warranty on the Spindle. I’d be contacting the Dept Fair Trading if he fails to reply to your correspondence.

In our house we believe that it is possible to spell fraud with only 4 letters, eBay.
