    Default Hello Everyone Stirling here

    Hi Everyone,
    My name is Stirling, I'm based in the Inner West of Sydney and I have commandeered the garage of our apartment to be my work space (or man cave) where I am currently trying to finish a very ambitious car modification project that is now in its 9th year (obviously not woodworking). After that, I have some nice pieces of Huon pine that I want to get into to make some tables!

    What has gotten me properly into the woodworking circle lately is I have embarked on a project called Hobby Society, where I am trying to make it easier for younger generations (like me) to take up a hobby like woodworking here in Sydney. As a result, I have recently been meeting some seriously talented people doing some amazing things with wood. Becoming a member of this forum seemed like a logical choice as I would like to be part of the community and stay informed about what's happening in the woodworking space

    Hi Shane,
    Thanks for the offer I did actually go down the the Illawarra Festival, I was there on Friday meeting up with some people doing some really amazing stuff there! Hopefully some of the people I met there will be keen to jump on to Hobby Society

    I had a great time at the show. I nervously took my 5yo daughter along too and she had as great a time as me.
