Directions

The map her friend had drawn indicated that the client a country vet
was to see lived on the second farm past Wyinda road. Try as she
might, the vet could not find a Wyinda Road anywhere!

Exasperated, she finally stopped to ask directions. She stopped and
asked at the next farm.

"I ain't never heard of no Wyinda Road." said the farmer. "But ya
might try askin' old man McGillicuddy, he's lived 'round here for
better 'n 70 years."

"Thanks," replied the vet. "Where can I find him?"

"He lives on the second farm past the Y in da road."

When I was working I was asked to write directions from the airport (John Wayne Orange County, SNA) to our office.

To wit:
As you exit the airport, turn left onto MacArthur.
Depending upon your confidence in your navigator, turn left at either the first or second intersection of MacArthur and Main.
Upon reaching the Avis rental car facility, turn into the street away from Avis.
Turn left at the stop sign.
Proceed straight through the traffic light, acquire a parking stub ticket which we will validate and our building is on the left.
(Ten minutes at the worst)

Everyone that used the directions arrived at our office without a problem except a Vice President. He was giving me H*** because it took him an hour and a half to get to the office. I asked him if he tried to follow the directions. His answer was "NO!" All I could do was shrug.
