Thx for letting me in ...!!!
Wow, awesome little community you guys have here....
within an hour of joining and sharing a couple of my projects I've already got several likes and comments
I've always tinkered around and made stuff but really ramped it up since we finished our house renovations and just LOVE IT....!!
Now I've always got a project or 2 on the go and a couple in the pipeline
As soon as I start talking woodworking or furniture making most of my mates just tune out (they think it's an "old mans" hobby)
So it's great to find a bunch of likeminded supportive people
i think I'll be hanging around here quite a bit
Cheers Guys
Dan

Welcome to the forums. There's nothing "old man" about woodworking, it's a great community that always helps and supports each other. The longer you're in it the better it becomes.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Dan".
There are a good number of members in country NSW plus lots more across the rest of the country & the world.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
Cheers crowie
PS - Keep an eye out for a Get Together at Katoomba for the greater Sydney area forum members which includes folk for your side of the hill...
Top way to met with like minded people...

It certainly not an old mans hobby. More like an obsession.
