Sanding Discs 75mm >320grit

Been looking on the internet for 75mm sanding discs above 320 grit ie 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200 and 1500.
Ubeat is out of stock and CWS only has up to 320 grit. Pops shed and sandpaper man do not have them. Is there a shortage of supply? Why aren't they available? Where can I get them?

Edit: occasionally he sells these in massive packs on super special. The price is ridiculous. I see them in his newsletter, which is quite infrequent.

Are these for turning?

You dont need anything like these high grits unless you might be thinking about polished surfaces. If you are polishing paint, CA or Poly, try using the micromesh.

These are what I use on my boxes and pens. I do these wet sanded for an outstanding finish.

You can also get some exceedingly good finishes with the Ubeat polishes. EEE Ultra Shine breaks down as you use it, its pretty amazing.The Shellawax is my favourite as is Shellawax Glow.

the guy with the brassware that goes to the woodshows has velcro backed rolls of finer sanpaper ... i bought a 3" and 2" wadpunch and make my own

try a search, "hardware for creative finishes" for the sandpaper ... wadpunches from just about anywhere ... i think i got mine from blackwoods

You could also look at Michael Mogy's site - Hardware and Creative Finishes at Dungog.
I particularly like his coloured coded sandpapers. He does mail order. Regards, Drillit.
