    Re the Alox wheel ... I just looked up the Timbecon website. I got it there a year or so ago.

    They stock 46, 60 and 120 grit at the moment ... so assuming it was the same back then ... it would definitely be a 60.

    Maybe the gray wheel is more like a 40/45 grit(?)

    Gotta say ... up to this point in time ... I like it better.

    Totally agree with Avery. A little bit extra is to keep the chisel moving from side to side and dress the stone before you start if it has not been done for a while.
