Columbia Works--note without the word 'Saw'--was a brand of Hopewell & Stokes of Rochester, New York from about 1852 on. No end date is listed in Erv Schaeffer's book.
That's all I can find.
Take care, Mike

Columbian saw works, in RSA
Hi Guys
Over the weekend I bought an 18" hand saw. No handle and no medallion. However etched on the blade is "Columbian Saw Works, Indianapolis Indiana." Below this was "EC Atkins and Company Proprietors." I will try and load a pic, but it is pretty hard to see it with the naked eye, so I have my doubts. It is clear to me who made this saw. I hope this adds clarity. Cheers
