HELP I am going nuts.
I am just returned home from hospital, having had a total hip replacement. All went well and the grinding joint pain has gone.
I am still sore and a bit weak and fragile from the surgery and am banned, by my wife, from even going into the workshop, let alone actually doing anything in there.
I have been sitting at my computer for the past 4 days, prowling the woodworking sites and reading all the magazines seeking distraction.
Help me out, please.
Send me your favourite site (tools, plans, hints and tips, whatever) to give me something to pass the time. I am told it will be another week before I can do anything even mildly strenuous and that may be enough time for me to completely lose all my marbles.

My preference is for hand tools over the tailed type (although I have plenty of the latter), so:

Lots more if you're interested.
Wishing you a speedy recovery

Thanks Wayne, the sites look interesting. But the post should be sent to Robert, who is the one recovering. I am fairly well, myself, just trying to cope with the stress of reduced workshop time owing to my son's sporting demands!

Thanks to all of you, except Iain.
I now have enough sites stored away in my favourites to keep me happy for a long time.
Iain, POP, that damned, POP, site you, POP, sent will drive, POP, me further round, POP, the twist. You truly, POP, are sick. POP POP POP.

Check out the dmoz directory, which is lots of links to (mostly) good furniture sites.
http://dmoz.org/Arts/Craft/Woodcraft/Furniture/
Then you can spend all day getting ideas for your next piece.

This site is absolutely essential for protective clothing, not sure about for woodturners though:

Enjoy while SWMBO is not home.
Sorry, this one will work,

Amazing what you can do with 4 lace hankies and a bit of string!

How'd you like one of those in the shed playing with your tools?
