Rings of dead grass
Hi,
My front paddock has large rings of dead grass, I have no idea why. It seems to be getting worse. Any ideas on how to diagnose and treat?

Urine of some animals can do that. How big are the rings of dead grass?

Probably some sort of Oz fungus.
Over here 'Fairy Rings' are generally (but not exclusively) caused by the Scotch bonnet or Fairy Ring Mushroom Marasmius oreades (Bolton) Fr (1836), the growth of the fungus causes circular rings of dead grass in lawns.

its not lawn grub is it?
Ive had that before, looks very similar to your photo,
Get a fork and turn the soil to see if there is any in the area.
Just a warning, the pesticide can poison the surrounding birdlife...

Also, if it is lawn grub, don't waste any time getting rid of them
they hatch quick and you will see them hovering around and they start laying more of the little buggers, it destroyed 3/4 of my backyard lawn before i had them under control.
