A timely request
Many of you have probably seen the link at the top of the WWF pages that takes you to the new Photo Forums that Neil has set up for the more serious photographers that visit here. Some of you have obviously have had a look, and even joined and contributed. However continued support has not been forthcoming, which is somewhat disappointing as the few regular contributors are trying very hard to get this forum up and running. Not only that, Neil has been selflessly giving his time to this forum to help kick it along. Seeing what he has done with the WWF, I see no reason that the new Photo Forum cannot, in time be just as successful, but we need your input.
I understand some of you are comfortable in a familiar environment and I respect that, but surely there are some of you that could give the new forum a try, and start some regular contributions. There is nothing to stop you from contributing to both forums, but at least give the new one a try. If you've been there to have a look and are not liking what you're seeing please let us know what we can do to make things better. Either leave a message here, on the Forums Info, Help And Feedback page in the new forum, or PM me with your concerns.
At the end of the day it is the members that make a forum successful, and we need members to push this new forum forward.
Cheers All

You've made some good points there.
I'd be one who just likes to stick to what he knows.
But after that well worded and friendly kick in the pants I'll give it a go!.
Cheers
Trev.

As a suggestion, perhaps there might be an increase in traffic in the Photography forum if there was a PHOT FEED back to here, like there is from MWF FEED?

Have tried to get RSS feed to work from Photo Forums to WWF Photography since Fhoto Forums inception but it flatly refused to work. No idea why it won't work. Have tried everything and used exactly the same RSS feed as from MWF and Reno but to no avail.

John - read the OP and noticed the phrase 'more serious photographers' which rules me out, but I had a look and noticed a 'Happy Snappers' section for blokes like me so I will visit more regularly.

GJ, I had a phone call from a longtime WWF/MWF member, who is active, to say he could not access the Photo Forum using his WWF and MWF login details.
He finished up creating a new login.
This may explain why you are not getting as many posters from WWF/MWF as you would like?
BTW Clicked on your username there and could not send you a PM - things seem to work a bit different here.
Then when I used Contact us and typed in this message I got this:

Things don't seem to work as they should by the looks.

Most likely reason is that Photo Forums is operating with a different version of vBulletin than WWF/MWF.
I'll forward your comments to Neil.
We've had a few signing up using their WWF user names, which is encouraging.
Repliconics has started posting some of his amazing bird images, hopefully this will bring some new blood into the forumsTo grow old is inevitable.... To grow up is optional
