    Default Wongo's Floor Offcuts

Recently I visited Wongo and before I had got out of my car, Wongo generously gave me some offcuts from the new floor in his house.

There were pieces of Blackwood and Tasmanian Myrtle.

I cut up the pieces and made two boxes.

The dovetails were handcut and the finish was several coats of UBeaut White Shellac, UBeaut EEE wax finished with UBeaut traditional wax.

The boys who visited on the weekend know the photos don't show all the flaws but I am posting to show Scott I appreciate the timber and the boxes are going to good homes.

Thanks Wongo for the timber - very much appreciated.

Both you and Cliff Rogers have nice floors.

    Thumbs up

They look great Rob. Nice work mate.

Correction: They are not from my house but Mrs Wongo’s parents’ new house.

That Tassie Myrtle is sensational looking timber. Nice boxes too Borer - I might consider Darkside methods if my Gifkins Jig ever gets stolen .

Very nice boxes WoodBorer. Wongo also gave me some of his floor offcuts, but haven't used them yet. Can't wait to wear the footy boots into his kitchen though.

I agree with Iain, even though he spells his name funny

I could only get close to those using my Gifkins. Otherwise my dovetails would look more like cows tails (full of crap)

Great work. My preference is the myrtle.
