Prepping architrave and skirting for paint.
Hey guys, so all my skirting and arcs (primed mdf with two coats of paint already ) have been shot to the wall. Wondering if i just use a multi purpose filler to fill the nail holes and then sand back it'll be all good for painting? After caulking as well of course.
Anything else I should know?
Cheers

Sounds like a good plan to me. The only other thing I'd check is if it's oil or water based paint on there already as water based doesn't apply well to oil based.

Some of those fillers dry to a VERY hard material which is very hard to sand back flush with the surface. I like to use a damp rag to "flatten" the filler after the hole is filled then when dry run around with sand paper and block to be sure the surface is flat.
If you are up to the skirts and arcs and paint the job is nearly finishedJust do it!
Kind regards Rod
