Replacing aluminum windows in brick veneer house

Struggling a bit with being confident in myself that I will give the correct measurements to a window contractor to replace my existing aluminum windows.

The current windows aren't flush with the bricks outside, theyou are inset I guess you would say.

What measurements do i need to provide?
Just frame size?
Frame plus interior timber reveal?
Actual opening in brick wall on the exterior?

Brickwork opening size, height first then width eg H1200 x W1810, then overall wall thickness from internal face of structural wall to external face of brickwork, nominate window style eg, sliding, awning, double hung, if sliding viewed from external opening right or left, if its within 600 of a door, bath or shower or adjacent to stair well must be safety glass, also if the window reveals are painted or stained

Easier still, get the window rep / reps to measure on site and quote that way its their problem if there's a mistake,
