Clear finish for birch ply counter
Hi all. I've found lots of answers here over the years, but never posted.
I'm building a birch ply galley kitchen for a client's new granny flat. It's based her own supplied images of a variety of ply kitchens. The one thing her images have in common is that the birch ply remains pale.
I finish my interior furniture in a water based commercial floor finish, and my kitchen and vanity tops in Cabots CFP oil base with added hardener. The counters are usually in solid timber, so are largely unaffected by the orange-red tint to the oil base clear, however in this case I know she won't accept the colour change to the ply.
I'm not interested in a 2 pac, and preferably need a satin finish. I'm in inner west Sydney.
Any thoughts folks?
Thanks in advance.
