Garage door- tapered or not (acceptable gap)?
Hi
I am replacing a garage roller door and pedestrian door combo with a full-width roller door.
The problem is there is a slight slope on the garage floor, that is more pronounced across the new, greater width. Also, a dip in the concrete floor in the centre of the door.
Here are the options:
1. Taper the bottom of the roller door. There will still be a 10mm gap in the middle (even with the rubber bottom seal) but each end will touch the ground, or
2. Don't taper the bottom. The right hand side will touch the ground, but there will be a 17mm gap on the left (even with the rubber bottom seal)
I need to decide if it's worth the extra $200 for a tapered door (given that neither option is perfect).
Interested in your feedback.
