Hi folks, I'm Bob, I live in Northern Alberta Canada. I just started making model wooden toy cars and trucks for my great, great nephews. So far I've built two 1929 dump trucks and a Batman car modified from a Toymaking Plan project Devil Car and a Spider-Man 57 Corvette. This website is awesome I've got lots of great ideas from reading the members forum. I'm very glad I found your site and joined it.

Hello Bob, greetings from Gunnedah Australia, Alberta holds a special spot in my life, I lived and worked there 2007-2008, driving truck for HWT transport based in Edmonton, WOW memories are flooding in, How is the Fall progressing, cooling down, we are just coming out of our winter, it was a generally warm winter for us, I think we had one maybe two at -4, thats cold for us, guessing you may had had that already, Yes I know that is not cold, -30 is, and you get below that at times, anyway I hope this Fall and winter is a good one for you all, Will post you again soon

G'day Bob, Welcome to the forum which most of the long time members think is one of the best available.

Lots of great people on here and quite a few from Canada, Robson Valley has already said G'day and you also have Les in Red Deer who is a pen specialist who does some great work as well and there are more in your time zone.

Some members use the phrase on here that goes something like "if there are no photos it didn't happen" so what I am angling for is some photos of your models, in particular would love to see the 57 Vette.
Anyway welcome aboard, enjoy the forums.

Hi folks, thanks for your welcome posts. This is an awesome site. Boy you can get and find a lot of great advice. I'm glad I joined. Phil at hrholden67, winter up here is about to start. The temp is morning is plus five. The geese have already started to head south as harvest time has begun. It's time for them to fatten up for their long trip south . It hasn't gone below 0 yet, but that can happen anytime now. But I'll be like the geese and head south to Florida for the winter. Too cold up here in the winter sometimes it'll get to -30/-40C (-40F) but averages out about -20C (-4F). As for the 57 vette if you go to Toy Making threads I have a thread call How do I drill a straight hole for axles ( I don't know how to link into it) that's where I got some great advice from you folks. It's been an honour to receive you advice and friendship. Thanks.

Hi Bob,
Had a look at the toys, very nice, liked the trucks too, well done.
If you want to link anything to a post it is pretty easy, even for me.
Just highlight the word by selecting the text as in the word 'here' then go to the page you want to link and copy the address from the address bar. Then right click the link icon above in the message composition box (The chain link) then paste the address you copied earlier into the URL field after the link opens. Hit enter and its done. the word 'here' should then be coloured and underlined like his in your message to show people it is an active link.
Clear as mud no doubt, anyway hope it helps.
