How to protect tuart against moisture changes
I知 building a dining table using tuart timber (I知 in WA). I壇 like to preserve the natural colour of the timber (so I won't be staining it) and, more importantly, seal the timber against moisture ingress. Since I plan to use mitre joins it is critical to protect the timber from moisture loss or absorption due to changes in humidity.
I'm wondering if either a Wattyl matt estapol or the Organoil hard burnishing oil would meet these requirements.
Any suggestions for what sealer/oil/varnish/coating to apply?
