    Default G'Day

Hi, my name is Ron & I have loved timber as long as I can remember but have only dabbled in wood work as a amateur over the years.
I have a reasonable fitted out workshop under the house that I love spending time in, especially with the grand kids.
I intend to build a red gum table approx 1.5m x 2.2m so I thought it would be a good idea to join this forum for some experienced intel.
Any advice on any issue in regards to building a red gum slab table, from timber selection through to timber finishing would be very appreciated.

Looking forward to being part of the forum

    Cheers

    Ron

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Ron".
There are a heap of members in & around Melbourne as well as across the rest of Victoria..
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [work in progress] photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork.
    Cheers, crowie

This question that you posted can cover large variation of information. I might suggest that you start a work in progress thread in the General sub-section or in the BigStuff sub-section.
