Howdy All New Member Introduction
Hi all my name is Mick and i'm from North East Victoria i have absolutely no idea about woodworking or welding or anything to do with working with my hands for that matter LOL, So be prepared for sum very stupid question's for yours truly.
I have driven interstate for many years so have a few basic tool's and a nice welder i'd like to learn to use properly one day my man shed is up and running

And i'm as proud as punch that i now have sum where to do sum stuff.
Wifey and i have lived here on 5 acres now for 9 or so years and being away all week and not much energy when i was home not much got done around here apart from wifey collecting way too many chooks and 9 sheep along the way but we love living the rural type of life and could not move back into town, We have no neighbor's the closest would be a klm or so away.
The house we live in is a very old school principal's house that was extended in the late 50-60's or so and needs sum TLC and i need to learn a heap of stuff along the way, I joined this forum a fair while ago now but never posted as i wanted to wait till i was in a position to practice what i learn here and now i have a local job i thought it might be time to get a shift along.
Amazing forum here that seems to be very friendly and full of info so once i work my way around i'll start to ask the stupid question's, Anyway's enough of me rambling on i hope you all enjoyed ya weekend and thank you for taking the time to look thru my intro.
Cheers Mick.

Hi Mick, welcome to the forum. By the way there is no such thing as a stupid question. Is Lilliput near Horsham, as there is an excellent member there, by the name of Dave, who is a dab hand at reno work.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Mick".
There are a heap of members across Victoria and the rest of the country..
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [work in progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers, crowie
PS - Nice truck, top shed .... BUT I prefer Peterbilt's.....

LOL Thank's Crowie i'd love a Peterbuilt but the boss only gave me a KW which i loved actually LOL, Not too sure where to start in this forum actually so i should start right here and maybe sum one could point me in the right direction so i start off correctly in the right thread,
I'm after sum idea's on how to lay out my shed i have a few larger tool's like a drill press and metal cut off saw and a Makita Drop saw but not too sure how best to lay it all out if you know what i mean, I'd also like to make my own workbench for the middle of the shed and i have million idea's in my head about what i would like to make but reality set's in when i browse this forum on what others more experienced have actually done LOL.
Mick.
P.S Sorry Kryn i did reply but it told me i have to wait for a Mod to check it over first mate but thank you for the welcome also, When the post appear's i mention where Lilliput is.

Welcome to the forum Mick. As previously mentioned no stupid questions on this site and everyone is very helpful. With the house being that age please be careful of asbestos.

Hi Ross thanks for the welcome mate and i'll be starting with the stupid questions very shortly in the workbench section LOL, I spent 4 years with a local demolition mob and got my demo supervisor and a and b class asbestos ticket so i am a bit familiar with the stuff and i tried as much as possible to avoid it where possible i am pretty sure the house is clear so far but the outback laundry and garage contain it so for the time being i'll leave those two alone the wall's and roof of those buildings are in a reasonable condition and appear solid.
