    Default VIP Mobile Phones

As the Purchasing Officer of the company where I work decided to provide company-paid mobile phones to
    the "suits" upstairs.
After negotiating a deal with a mobile phone company, we arranged for the phones to be sent to the homes of the
    various VIP's.

The day after delivery, I received a call from a partner screaming about how his mobile phone didn't work.
He said he charged it overnight just like the instructions said, but in the morning, it wouldn't power up.

I asked EXACTLY what he did with the phone when he got it.

"I took it out, plugged the charger into the wall and into the phone."

"Did you put the battery in the phone?"

    "Not the extra one."

"Sir, the phone only came with one battery."

(Pause) "Oh, I think I figured out what's wrong with it."

Did they read the instructions, or spend all night doing other things - like sleep?!

Oh, I forgot, who reads instructions.

When all else fails read the instructions, ring up the seller, or contact the manufacturer.
I used to make accessories for 4WDs, sold them to retailers, who then fitted them.
Had a couple ring back to say that the instructions weren't that clear, in as I'd forgotten to mention, that a fuel tank was 50mm under the body of the vehicle where the hole had to be drilled. Stupidity is not a disability.

Oh my god. That reminds me of when I picked up my last new car. The dealer had a cargo barrier installed as I had requested. The cargo barrier was installed behind a set of seats in the back of the van. Silly buggers had drilled straight through the fuel tank. When I initially filled the car fuel was going into the tank, and then onto the forecourt of the servo. I saw the liquid spill from where I was standing and thought " I wonder where that is coming from".

I was quite annoyed at the time.
