wooden screws
HI all,
I watched this chap at the working with wood show demonstrating how to cut wooden threads, and I would like to have a go, can anyone get me started on this ?
I need all the help I can get on this.
Cheers,
Andrewgtg.

That chap ,I think you are referring to ,is Ian W on this forum.
Is a very nice Chappy to.
I think he told me ,he's about to write a article for the Australian wood review about cutting making wooden threads (I think)

Yep, keep an eye out for the AWR issue coming soon. Not sure when.
Likewise, if you want a more immediate solution, there are some items on the market for doing it, most notably the Beall Wood Threader:
The Beall Tool Company
It'll cost you a mint to get it here from the states, plus it requires a router, but it does the trick.
That said, Ian's method allows the same result, repeatable on multiple sized threads, at a fraction of the cost exchanged for a bit of DIY.
Cheers,
Luke
