Hi1, I'm new to this wood forum lark, so it will be a while before I send anything for comment.
Just to tell you something about myself in the woodworking field.
I live in a small place called Howick in KwaZulu/Natal in South Africa am a member of the local Midlands Woodworkers Guild of which I am the Secretary and editor of our Newsletter. We have about 100 members of which there about 40 active in Guild activities. The Newsletter is published monthly, about 14 pages (thanks to information available on the Internet) and is about 1 to 2MB. Anyone who would like a copy are free to contact me and I will send a copy on to.
The cost of woodworking seems to increase monthly as most tools and materials and some timber are imported and our echange rate is the pits compared to say when I retired on a fixed pension some 16 years ago. But we carry on and find that being active in a group of woodworkers seem to makes us, at least feel a little younger.
I have been a regular visitor to Oz in the past, having family in Bunbury, WA, but with drop on the price of your iron ore, coal, etc, there appears to be quite a bit onf unemployment in the area.
No icons as I am of an age that these are all alien to me
