Mixing brick with weatherboard
Hi everyone,
Not sure if this is the right section but seemed the closest to me.
We are in the process of rebuilding our detached laundry/shed due to rot. It's about 6x4 so a bit bigger than a garden shed. Just after some opinions on brick veneer vs weatherboard.
Our house is about 90 years old, a timber frame weatherboard cottage. Currently the laundry matches the house. We are thinking of going brick veneer on the reno, using recycled pre 1950's brick.
I'm sure it will look great on it's own - we just can't decide whether having the two different materials on side by side structures will look strange. There is only about 2.5m between the back of the house and the shed itself.
Anyone got opinions or examples for us?
Cheers
