Default My Magnum collection is almost complete

I picked up a Metabo Magnum ADH 1626 thicknesser a while back for 200 Euro (approx 340 AUD). The machine was in pretty bad shape but the price was right so I snapped it up. This is what it looked like when I got it:

This is what it looked like after I pulled it down and buffed up the parts:

    • I welded the nut back onto the swing arm, sanded the whole thing back and resprayed it.
    • The plastic protector in planing mode was cracked so I ground out the crack and filled it with two part apoxy. Then I filled the divets where it had been clamped incorrectly and sanded the whole thing back before spraying it red.
    • I sanded the dust extraction back and resprayed both pieces
    • I overhauled the chain on the thicknesser rollers
    • I ordered a new cowling, V-belt, stickers, clamping brace for the protector, swing arm rod, blade clamp, depth setting screws and a few other odd bits.

I put her all back together and she now looks like this:

Gave her a dance and am most pleased with result. Will keepeth me thinketh.

    Hi Damien,

Great looking machine now. Top job, little ripper. Looks quite a sturdy machine too.

    Cheers

    Hi guys
I have one of these - A Metabo Surface-Planing and Thicknessing Machine Magnum.
It is the single phase form - ADH 1626 W mounted on a Metabo 2-wheeled machine stand (part no 30 400).
It is in absolutely brand new condition - apart from one (yes 1 only) stick of Oregon pine going through it.
Due to a pending change of address I intend to sell it - along with a few other bits and pieces.
Does anyone have any idea what it is worth?
I'm in the southern suburbs of Perth WA.
    Thanks
    Laurie

Can't tell you what they're worth these days in Australia... They go for between 400 and 700 Euro here, depending on condition. 230 V have the advantage of satisfying the requirements of smaller hobby workshops with no 3 phase. They don't pack quite the wallop so anyone with 3 phase will probably be looking for something with more punch.
