Howdy from Sydney
Greetings to all on the forums!
A newbie to woodworking here, I've been looking from the sidelines for quite some time, wanting to do something different than my day job (which is quite mental/technical) and do something with my hands for a hobby.
Always had a fascination, and appreciation of good woodwork, and I think it's about time to get involved, dabble a bit and learn.
Space is limited at the moment, so am considering a start with making some turned pens.
Looking forward to getting to know you all, and learning much from the accumulated knowledge and experience of you all!

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "midnight".
There are a stack members across the Sydney area plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
Cheers crowie
PS - Keep an eye out for a get together at Katoomba for the Sydney area forum members....great way to met & make friends.
There's also a "sharpening get together" in Camden in early March......
