How is this window trim fixed
I was looking at our neighbours external window trim - photo attached. A fairly common style in this area. It appears to be just timber battens with mitred corners. Two questions:
1. How are they fixed on. The cladding is blueboard with acrylic render. There are no visible nail or screw holes ? Is it just adhesive ?
2. I think the mitres would be prone to opening up as the timber ages. Is something done to prevent this perhaps ?
I asked the neighbour but he has no idea.
cheers
