    Default Stain And Burnishing Oil.

Im using Organoil hard burnishing oil, can this be used over the top of a Wattyl stain ?<object type="cosymantecnisbfw" cotype="cs" id="SILOBFWOBJECTID" style=" display: block;"></object>

Someone asked me this recently. My feeling is that you will sand some of the the stain out during sanding, giving a patchy look. I don't think I'd do it,

In addition, I ran a very crude experiment using Wattyl Rosewood stain on a bit of Tas Oak. The stain did, in fact, lose intensity.

    Regards,

    Rob

Thanks Rob, i tried on a sample of Silky Oak with a New Maple stain. The oil did take some stain off but i wasn't happy with the colour anyway so didn't go ahead with it.<object type="cosymantecnisbfw" cotype="cs" id="SILOBFWOBJECTID" style=" display: block;"></object>
