Warranted Superior 26" crosscut saw 7ppi
My intention in listing this group of saws was to have a wide range from which to select. This was intended to be the budget saw in that it is a Warranted Superior saw with no other identifying marks.
However, you can tell quite a bit about a saw in the way it files and this is a good saw. It looks good and it feels good. not only that it has the mark of a quality saw in that it displays an amazing amount of taper in the saw plate. It goes from .038" at the handle to .019" at the toe.: Remarkable.
There are 7ppi and the plate is a full 26" and quite deep at 6 1/2" ahead of the handle. It is a really nice saw. The handle has had a mahogany stain added to the shellac and is of the cover top style, which initially led me to think it was Disston made, but they were not the only manufacturer to use this style of handle.

This listing is an auction and an opportunity for a bargain. The saw is filed crosscut and has been jointed, shaped, set and hand sharpened.
Postage to be borne by the purchaser and payment by direct transfer.
Thanks for looking and a couple more saws to come.

Thanks Paul
I thought the medallion looked to be British and I checked with NC Archer who had the saw before me and he confirmed that he acquired the saw with that medallion.
Having said all that I was still heading down the Disston track. I am now inclined towards your suggestion. Either way I think it has turned out well.
