Hello from Perth. Just getting started
I've been messing about in the shed for a couple of months and want to get a new TS and need advice on a good starting point. I've been using a makeshift Table Saw that I made myself but would like to get more precise cuts and finishes.

Welcome to the forum.
There is a dedicated sub-forum on table saws https://www.woodworkforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=153
You could ask your question there.
In regards to your question I currently have a Triton table saw option. Only thing about this is that I can not tilt the saw when it is mounted in table saw mode.
