Hello from a newbie
Hello all
I just joined today. Looking for some advice on what tools to buy.
I posted in the restoration forum, however my post is not appearing.
Do I have to wait for something to be activated?
thanks in advance.
PS I also cannot view "My Profile"

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "natiscakes".
There are a heap of members in & around Melbourne as well as across the rest of Victoria..
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [work in progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers, crowie
PS - The admin and or mods will have to help on the profile view....
BUT on the tools, post a couple of questions in the tool subsections and or general sections for a great audience and thus answers...

Welcome natiscakes, this is a great forum with many talented people contributing. There are so many different sections to this site that it takes a while for yo to find all the areas that interest you, but it will get easier over time.
You will not be able to make changes to your profile until you have reached a certain number of posts. What that number is we don't know, only the admins know as it is used to try to keep spammers at bay.Dallas

Thank you old1955.
Treecycle, thanks for the explanation, makes perfect sense
I can see that my posts are moderated, which also makes sense.
I haven't been part of an online forum in years, and had forgotten all these things
Last time i was part of an online forum, was when i was making cakes (as a business).
