    Hi all, My name is Jake.
    I have been a member on his forum for a while, but I had never contributed.
    My history is in metal, I no longer work in the industry but I am a constant tinkerer. I have a keen interest in wood, a reasonably well stocked tool room and have recently aquired an old lathe. Wood lathe-ing is an entirely new avenue for me and I look forward to conversing with you all and learning some new tips on here.

    There are quite a few members in & around Central Queensland area plus the rest of the country & the world.....
    You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
    Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.

    Hi Jake and welcome to the Forum. If you want to jump into the vortex of wood turning have a think about coming up to the Prossie Turnout. You will get more free tuition and ideas in 3 days than you would get in a year otherwise.
