Default Does black bean timber fade in sunlight?

I have made a blackbean box with veneered huon pine for my sister in Sydney. It is finished with Kunos #244 oil

She has placed the box in a room with a skylight, and although not directly under the skylight it gets really good lighting from it during the day.

I am aware that jarrah timber doesn't like strong natural lighting as it turns greyish with time, but can anyone please tell me if black bean fades in colour with strong lighting from a nearby skylight?
    regards,

As far as I am aware, all timbers turn grey in time in sunlight.

Even with 3 coats of oil, I would not expect it to go mich lighter in a matter of months. would this be normal?

Dengue, I would have thought it would get a deeper richer tone with sunlight and not grey off or fade.
We did a floor some time back and we certainly have not heard back that it had greyed off and as it is in a large area, there would be quite a bit of natural light. The huon pine will certainly deepen its rich honey colour.

Yes, black bean timber can fade in sunlight. The colour of the wood tends to attract heat and this will cause fading. I’m not sure how long it’ll take for the fading to be visible though.
